About The SCB Donation Campaign
Donating to animal shelters is one of the most meaningful ways you can make a difference in the lives of animals both financially and tangibly.
Snarky Cat Boutique has started a donation campaign to help pet rescue and adoption facilities locally and nationwide keep running smoothly and efficiently, and continue to be able to offer the care many of these abandoned, surrendered, neglected, and homeless cats and dogs need until they find their forever home.
Many of these shelters and animal rescues need financial/admin support, as well as, donations of tangible items. Your financial donation will help them “keep the lights on”, provide veterinary care for immunizations, spay/neutering operations, offer a decent roof over all the furry little resident’s heads, and much more.
FACTS:
Your financial donation goes to helping animal rescue and adoption facilities locally and nationwide operate and consistently offer the best care for temporary homeless, abandoned, and surrendered cats and dogs.
- Snarky Cat Boutique (Annie St. Germain) is the collector and distributor of all donations. Donations are sent on a monthly basis to the shelter organization of your choice – the list is organic and growing.
- Status of the donations will be listed on this Web site in the form of a Blog post monthly. Please subscribe to be notified. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please Contact SCB.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
Let us know if there is a particular animal rescue or shelter you would like to see in our list.
What do animal shelters need the most? It’s quite a list.
Financial Contributions:
- Money is at the top of every shelter’s wish list. Shelters typically work on tight budgets and can always use additional funds to provide better care for more pets.
Tangible Contributions
Toys:
- All animals love toys, so donate any old or new pet toys to keep those homeless dogs and cats entertained and happy.
Pet Food and Treats:
- The biggest chunk of any shelter’s budget is spent on food, especially if there are many animals in the shelter.
Cleaning Supplies:
- Cleaning up after pets is not easy and requires a lot of cleaning supplies.
Towels and Blankets:
- Used for both for cleaning and bedding. They are also often used to line the bottoms of the cages. Blankets are needed for bedding and to keep the animals warm when necessary.
Newspapers:
- Used to line the bottoms of kennel cages.
Grooming Supplies:
- Animals in shelters must be groomed often to stay healthy and clean.
Collars and Leashes:
- helter dogs need to be walked often to keep them in shape physically.
Furniture:
- Cooling and heating pads and mats
Crates and Carriers:
- Every shelter needs multiple crates and carriers to transport animals.
Food and Water Bowls:
- For all of the hungry and thirsty little fur babies that need to be fed and watered
Flea and Tick Treatment:
- Animals that end up in rescue shelters often have fleas or ticks and require treatment as soon as they are admitted.
Toilet Supplies:
- Many dogs and pups are not potty trained, shelters need pee pads, etc.
Nursing Bottles:
- For all of the wee kitten and puppies that are surrendered or found that haven’t been weaned
Office Products:
- Shelters don’t just need pet supplies; they also need office products to keep everything on the admin side running smoothly. Things like pens, printer paper, staples, sticky notes and other office supplies are almost always needed.
