Before You Panic: We’d Like To Explain the Etsy Thing

Meoowww,

We run this place.

You may think this is Annie’s (our Human) shop.
It is not. We simply allow her to use opposable thumbs for production purposes.

We have reviewed this website. It is acceptable.
The products are cute. The stitching is neat. Our human has been properly trained.

However,

You will notice that when you go to purchase, you are sent to Etsy.

This is not a mistake. This is not suspicious. This is NOT the human “doing something weird.”

This is intentional.

You Are Hovering. We Can Tell.

You are scrolling.
You are pausing.
You are thinking:

“Why am I being sent somewhere else?”
“Is this safe?”
“Do I trust this Web site?”

First of all—your instincts are not terrible. We respect a cautious creature.

But relax. We have already vetted this situation.

Etsy Has Been Approved by Us (Mika and Koji)

Here is why we do things this way:

  • Buyer protection
If something goes wrong (it won’t, but still), Etsy has your back. We like that.
  • Real reviews from real humans
Many people have purchased. Many people are happy. No one has perished.
  • Secure checkout
Your payment is handled by professionals.
Not by our human, who—while talented—also once glued her fingers together.

Love And A CatLB Wild ThingsOrangies

In short:
You are safer there. We prefer safe. Safe means fewer problems. Fewer problems means more time for us. And as our human knows (or has grudgingly accepted), we are the most important creatures in the house. We have our needs, wants, and desires. They must be met. It’s non-negotiable.

About the Goods (Yes, We Inspect Them On A Regular Basis)

These items are hand designed, hand sewn, and the designs are definitely a product of our humans chaotic brain. A lot of work goes into producing everything in our shop. Also a lot of love and “particularness”. We do not mass produce. Hence the “boutiqueness” vibe.

We have personally:

  • Sat on the fabric
  • Supervised the cutting
  • Sat at a safe distance while our MaMa is heat pressing
  • Supervised the computer and design work
  • Inspected the final product by staring at it intensely

Some items may contain a trace amount of cat hair.

This is not a flaw.
This is a blessing.

What Happens Next (Pay Attention)

  1. You click on a product on our Shop
  2. A page describing the product displays.
  3. Once you click on the “Purchase Now” button, you are redirected to our Etsy shop, where you can choose options and/or securely check out (like a responsible adult).

That’s it. Simple and safe as lazing about in your favorite sunny window.

No tricks. No nonsense. No “funny business,” as the humans say.

Final Instructions

  • Click the Etsy link
  • Choose your item
  • Complete your purchase

Make a good decision for once.

We will be watching.
